VIDEO ONE

Self-Care through Touch and Movement

Experience Movement Solutions lessons that will wake up your feeling of uprightness, posture, and power in your bones.
2022 was a year to celebrate the life of Ruthy Alon, original Feldenkrais teacher and trainer who created programs designed to increase bone strength, enhance movement coordination, and to bring back the vitality in movement and our life.
If we could consider three words that best describe what she taught us they are “springiness with potency”.  Come join this workshop and feel deep in your bones how this way of using yourself can help increase the quality of life and longevity. Find your inner wisdom in moving easily and joyfully again. This workshop will include a self-touch lesson we can use for ourselves and that we can share with our clients. These Movement Solutions lessons have shown to increase bone strength, enhance movement coordination, and to bring back the vitality in movement and our life.

VIDEO TWO

Somatic Movement and Awareness in Burn-out and Stress Management Programs

In this presentation, we hear a description of the somatic movement approach taken in a stress management and burnt-out program in a residential setting.

Participants bring awareness and attention to their sense of self and their movements of daily life, using sensation to identify the psychological, physiological and social factors that promote healing and self-regulation.

Bibiana shares how she evolved this program from her Rolf© practitioner and Rolfing© Movement training. The results became the interventions, not only working with physical symptoms, but understanding them in the context of the patients’ lives, self-care, and future prevention.

VIDEO THREE

A Somatic Journey at the Intersection of Headaches, Migraine, Myofascial Pain, and Awareness

In this experiential, interactive workshop, we will engage in somatic movement practices to:

• Fine-tune bodily awareness.
• Find center in stillness and motion.
• Be present to yourself and others.
• Take a stand; move powerfully with dignity in a relaxed body.
• Manifest a positive future.

Jan shares with us her personal resourcefulness during a vulnerable, uncertain time, and how she applies her training and experience to working with clients. Her work is derived from body-centered therapies, somatic body-as-self, mind-body-emotions-spirit work that is internal, emotive, interactive, and transformational. She uses elements of mindfulness, awareness of sensations, aikido-based movement, language, breathing, and bodywork, against a background of meaningful life purpose to address reactive states, concerns, challenges, and trauma; to rebuild broken parts; and to shift energy and patterns in the moment and over time. In transformational work, ideally the practitioner embodies the work. “My foundational practices help me hold my clients and myself together in tumultuous times. “
