Sarena Wolfaard
Sarena started her career in the early 1980s as a copy editor on science, math and biology textbooks in South Africa. She joined Harcourt in 1998 as Senior Commissioning Editor and later became Publisher for Elsevier on projects for Health Professionals, working with prominent figures in the field to develop the Manual Therapy list. She also commissioned for Hodder Education and Jessica Kingsley Publishers before embarking on the dream of creating a publishing company to promote and expand the area of Manual Therapy and Bodywork. She is a trained massage therapist, a teacher of a 5Rhythms movement practice and currently studies Process Oriented Psychotherapy. Sarena has co-authored a chapter: The 5Rhythms Movement practice: Journey to Wellbeing, Empowerment, and Transformation in The Oxford Handbook of Dance and Wellbeing, published in 2017

250 HOURS OF TRAINING
If you have completed 250 hours of training in Somatic Movement Education and/or Therapy with an independent program or mentor, you are eligible to apply for these credentials:
- Associate Somatic Movement Professional (ASMP) - designed for people who have a primary professional identity in another field (for example, physical therapy, psychotherapy, expressive arts) and want to integrate somatic movement into the work they are already trained in.

- Registered Somatic Dance Educator (RSDE) - designed for people who have higher education training as dance educators and want to integrate Somatic Movement into their pedagogy.

- Master* Somatic Movement Educator (MSME)
- Master* Somatic Movement Therapist (MSMT)
These credentials are designed for professionals with advanced skill level, and at least 10 years in the field.
