Join us for a free introduction to the Making Connections class series, which will provide participants with transversal somatic principles and tools to accompany children with disabilities in the process of developing and improving motor, cognitive and interpersonal abilities and to guide groups of parents or professionals in exploring together somatic principles and tools. Making Connections draws on different somatic approaches, mainly Body-Mind Centering®, the Jeremy Krauss approach (JKA) and the Feldenkrais Method. Using play, touch, and movement, we guide children to build new neural pathways. Comfort and enjoyment are essential components in the meetings with the child in the presence of the family. This creates a feeling of safety and trust to learn something new.
Making Connections is based on:
- embracing diversity and differences, including ways of perception and being in the world
- inviting everybody to participate in the learning experience
- giving equal access to resources and opportunities to learn together
- supporting everybody’s voice to participate in social activities and life
- removing barriers of communication - personal, physical, and social
In the full course, participants will:
• Experience a dynamic approach to working with children and their families, by incorporating somatic principles, resources, and embodiment practices.
• Practice how to be in resonance and attune with people with fragilities, working through play and enticement to foster connections and flow in the body.
• Explore the fundamental importance of movement and touch for learning, relating, communicating, and caring, to facilitate movement with mutual respect, and to touch with a sense of reciprocity, giving and receiving, leading and following.
The Full Course runs six Tuesdays, May 19 – June 23, 2026 • 6-8:30pm CET (12-2:30pm ET).

Thomas Greil, RSME/T
Thomas Greil is a certified teacher of BodyMind Centering® (BMC®) and a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT). He has taught BMC® in certification programs in Europe and the US since 2003, and is the co-founder of SOMA, the French licensed organization. His passion for research of movement, touch, and body expression has led him to become interested in neuromotor development in infancy, and in the ways in which gesture and perception are built in emotional, social, cultural environments of life. His work is particularly dedicated to the accompaniment of families with children with fragilities. He created the project “Making Connections” to support families with children with special needs, including individual sessions for the children as well as for the parents, workshops for parents, professionals and therapists in the field of care. He trained with Jeremy Krauss to become a JKA practitioner. Together with Carla Bottiglieri, he has founded minima somatica, a nucleus of research and somatic practice, which investigates forms of circulation and sharing of knowledge of the body.
