We are delighted that you are interested in becoming a Professional Member of ISMETA! You are eligible to apply for the following credentials after completing these levels of training in Somatic Movement:

250 hours

Associate Somatic Movement Professional (ASMP)
Registered Somatic Dance Educator (RSDE)

500 hours

Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME)
Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT)

1,000 hours

Master* Somatic Movement Educator (MSME)
Master* Somatic Movement Therapist (MSMT)

Training hours must be completed in the following formats:

An ISMETA Approved Training Program OR
Independent study in Somatic Movement Education and Therapy that fulfills the Professional Member Training Requirements OR
Coursework that meets the Registered Somatic Dance Educator Requirements

All Professional Members must meet the criteria outlined in the Pillars of the Profession.

This membership category is open to any person who is currently studying at:

an ISMETA Approved Training Program or
Mentoring with a Master Somatic Movement Educator and/or Therapist

Professional advocacy for your future profession

Receive ISMETA monthly E-News, and member updates

Student Members attending an Approved Training Program automatically become RSME or RSMT upon graduation by sending their certificate. No application fee is required.
