We are delighted that you are interested in becoming a Professional Member of ISMETA! You are eligible to apply for the following credentials after completing these levels of training in Somatic Movement:
250 hours
- Associate Somatic Movement Professional (ASMP)
- Registered Somatic Dance Educator (RSDE)
500 hours
- Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME)
- Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT)
1,000 hours
- Master* Somatic Movement Educator (MSME)
- Master* Somatic Movement Therapist (MSMT)
Training hours must be completed in the following formats:
- An ISMETA Approved Training Program OR
- Independent study in Somatic Movement Education and Therapy that fulfills the Professional Member Training Requirements OR
- Coursework that meets the Registered Somatic Dance Educator Requirements
All Professional Members must meet the criteria outlined in the Pillars of the Profession.

- Mentoring with a Master Somatic Movement Educator and/or Therapist

Student Members attending an Approved Training Program automatically become RSME or RSMT upon graduation by sending their certificate. No application fee is required.
